On December 2, 2025 Terre des hommes Albania in collaboration with Ministry of Justice of Albania and Bailiff General Directory inaugurated the creation of a child friendly space, as a very important step in the advancement of juvenile justice, guaranteeing a safe and suitable environment for children dealing and faced with law enforcement proceedings.
This dedicated space will help to reduce stress and minimize exposure to potentially sensitive, traumatic situations or other emotionally charged processes during the execution of juridical decisions.
In Tirana there are 308 child meeting cases, while at the national level there are 10,161 cases related to aliment support, meeting or care. This investment is part of the Intersectoral Justice Strategies and marks a step towards paying special attention to children, with the aim of extending similar models to other enforcement offices.
Terre des hommes in partnership with the key justice, protection and child rights institutions and with the continuous support of the Austrian Development Agency is providing psychological support for children referred by Bailiff offices nationwide, contributing to a more integrated and sensitive approach to child their well-being of children and their families.
